AS my world develops (given what I have posted, it has to) it has occurred to me the function of my universe will have to be changed depending on where in time, my story is. That may have been a bit confusing, let me elaborate;
Where my story is now (what I've posted) is great for writing a fiction novel/short stories. Stories that focus around characters struggling to find out what is going on, the mass confusion of the public, human splitting sides over what is 'right' in the face of potential Armageddon, ect. And I will do so. But I've decided that if I want to make a game out of my universe - I have to advance the plot in time.
So, if there were ever to be a successful gaming universe I would estimate I need to go forward at least a couple hundred years.
I will post in bullets and perhaps elaborate further in the future.
- Human depopulation. Let's face it our world would be better. But on top of that Humans will be competing for space, which means less agriculture, or smarter agriculture. Certain Agoori (not the 'race' as a whole) will attack humans on sight. They have killed a sizable portion of the human population, only to be halted by the guardians, and human military. This forces much of the population to live underground, or in highly fortified structures.
- Agori/human contact - It finally happens. The agori communicate with humans through body language paired with limited, often hard to understand speech. Due to their troubles learning most languages, the agori have only been able to catch on to very simple speech patterns. A bastardized form of Esperanto is the only language they know.
- Guardians take over a large portion of planet. Though it is not un-welcomed, they do protect most humans. Though when they swarm, they will kill anything in their way. It is now known that the guardians have been on the planet since the beginning of life on earth, driven deep underground. This explains their prehistoric look (much like the creatures of the Cambrian explosion.
- Human technology advancement. Despite our dwindling population, we are hesitant to do anything but control the agoori. We believe there is much to learn about them/from them so we do not wipe them out completely, even though we can.
- ago(o)ri worshipers. Since the communication with the agori, humans have learned to instruct them to build anything to their will. Bio-organic weapons/armor, living structures, and war beasts. The worshipers go to war with the humans and guardians claiming they are weak and the time for evolution is now!
That's all I have for now. Feedback always welcome.
